It's the first question almost every business asks us — and the hardest one to answer in a single number. The truth is that "how much does a corporate video cost" is a bit like asking "how much does a renovation cost": it depends entirely on what you're building. But that's not a useful answer when you're trying to set a budget, so below we've laid out real, honest price bands for the kinds of video Brisbane businesses commonly commission.
At ThinkVP we've produced over 300 videos for Brisbane and South East Queensland businesses since 2016 — everything from a single talking-head testimonial to multi-day conference coverage. This guide reflects what that work typically costs.
The short answer
A single professionally produced corporate video in Brisbane typically costs from $1,300 + GST, and most business video projects land somewhere between $1,300 and $8,000 + GST. Larger productions — multi-day shoots, several finished videos, drone, animation or multiple locations — run higher.
The single biggest lever on cost isn't the camera or the editor — it's how much you produce in one shoot day. More on that below, because it's where most businesses leave value on the table.
Typical price bands by video type
These are indicative ranges for production in Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Every project is quoted on its own specifics — treat these as a planning guide, not a fixed menu.
Corporate & brand video — from $1,300
A single brand film, company profile or promotional video. A straightforward half-day shoot at one location with one finished edit sits at the lower end; add scripting, multiple interviews, locations or a longer runtime and it climbs. See corporate video production.
Customer testimonial & case-study video — from $1,300
One of the best-value formats, especially when you film several in a single day. A standalone testimonial is at the lower end; a polished case study combining an interview with b-roll of the product or service in action costs more. We dig into why these convert so well in this guide to testimonial & case-study videos.
Event & conference videography — from ~$1,500/day
Pricing usually starts from a day rate for filming, plus editing. A short highlight reel from a half-day event is at the lower end; full multi-camera conference coverage with same-day social cut-downs, interviews and multiple finished deliverables is a larger project. See event videography.
Training & instructional video — quoted per series
Training video is usually scoped as a series rather than a single clip, so cost depends on the number of modules, whether there's a presenter, and how much screen-recording or animation is involved. Producing a whole series in one or two shoot days is far more economical than filming modules one at a time. See training videos.
Editing-only projects — from a few hundred dollars
Already have footage? Edit-only projects (you shoot, we edit) are priced on the complexity and length of the edit, not a shoot day. See video editing.
What really drives the cost
When we put together a quote, these are the factors that move the number up or down:
- Number of shoot days. The crew, gear and travel for a filming day are largely fixed whether you shoot one video or five — which is why the per-video cost drops sharply the more you capture in a day.
- Pre-production. Scripting, storyboarding, casting talent or planning a shot list adds time before anyone picks up a camera. Simple interview-led pieces need very little; a scripted brand film needs more.
- Locations & travel. One location is simplest. Multiple sites, or travel beyond the Brisbane metro to the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast or regional Queensland, adds time — we quote travel transparently up front.
- Post-production complexity. Colour grading and licensed music are standard; motion graphics, animation, captions and multiple aspect-ratio cut-downs for different platforms add to the edit.
- Number of finished deliverables. One 90-second website video is one edit. The same footage cut into a long-form video plus five social snippets is several edits.
- Add-ons. Drone/aerial, a second camera operator, a teleprompter, professional voiceover or hire of a studio space when a project calls for it.
How to get more video for the same budget
The smartest thing a business can do with a video budget is batch. Because so much of the cost is in mobilising for a shoot day, capturing several videos in one visit dramatically lowers the cost per video. A common, cost-effective approach:
- Film three or four customer testimonials back-to-back in a single day.
- Shoot a brand film and grab the raw material for months of social content in the same session.
- Record a full training series in one or two days rather than module-by-module.
If a steady stream of content is the goal, tell us that at the quoting stage — we'll plan the shoot to get you the most usable footage per day.
A note on "cheap" video
You can find video produced for a few hundred dollars, and for some uses that's genuinely fine. But corporate video is usually representing your brand to customers, candidates or stakeholders — and poorly lit, badly recorded audio or an aimless edit can do more harm than no video at all. We aim to deliver work that fits your budget and pulls its weight in your marketing. If we're not the right fit for what you need, we'll tell you honestly.
